We need more infrastructure
It’s even worse than it looks tbh. For example, technically Amtrack runs a train from LA all the way thru Seattle, but it’s a sleeper train that runs once a day and other than that there is no way to get from northern to southern California without a bus connection. I imagine it’s similar along other lines as well.
it’s so frustrating because where Amtrak is good, it’s REALLY good. i love taking trains and after spending a month in europe, i realize just how badly we’ve got it.
